The Spaniareds almost unanimously consider Paella to be a dish from the Valencian region (which Alicante is in).
We had a paella with Iberico ham at a cozy and busy restaurant Picaro 1999. Recommend booking a table.
They gave us huge limoncellos at the end of our meal. Some other tables got free cava. The staff must've been celebrating something.
